AI Algorithm Engineer

This position is available for remote or hybrid work and is part of the Cockpit AI Engineering team. We're seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals eager to push the boundaries of AI/ML in real-time embedded applications, making a tangible impact on our customers. Collaborating with an innovative and diverse global team (including locations like France, Italy, USA, India, Brazil), we ideally seek candidates with expertise in machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, application development, or embedded software. Experience in deploying machine learning methods beyond the proof-of-concept stage into real-world production applications is highly valued. Above all, we prioritize candidates who demonstrate a strong engineering understanding, a thirst for continuous learning, and a history of delivering functional solutions.

Oczekujemy

• Master's degree in Computer Science, particularly in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
• 1 year of experience in Generative AI solutions, especially Large Language Models and/or classical Natural Language Processing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Dev Ops engineers, Embedded Software engineers, and Validation engineering teams.
• Proficiency in interfacing with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers and partners.
• Comfort working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Experience with object-oriented programming, Python and/or C++, and software engineering best practices (e.g., test-driven development, version control, documentation).
• Familiarity with remote environments (AWS, Azure, or proprietary) and Linux.
• Proficiency with Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch and/or Tensorflow, as well as emerging languages like Rust.
• Experience in data management and analytics (e.g., data collection, labeling, curation, databases).
• Familiarity with Open Source Software (Hugging Face, GitHub, etc.) and associated licensing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD degree in Computer Science, with a thesis related to Generative AI, NLP, and/or LLM.
• 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering (including PhD years).
• Experience with chatbots in production environments.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry.
• Ability to read scientific papers and implement the latest applied research to build prototypes.
